Thank You Volunteers

Thanks Volunteers

A strong school community is essential for our students to thrive. Since we couldn't be together this year to honor our many fantastic volunteers, our staff and students created a video to honor your dedication and loyalty to supporting the Sunderland community! We are donating the money ($1000) that we would have used for our luncheon and gifts to the End Hunger campaign in honor of all our amazing volunteers!

Each year, we recognize one special volunteer who has given their time to our school. This year's Volunteer of the Year for SES is Michelle Rubio! “How can I help?” is a question that is an automatic response from Sunderland Elementary’s Volunteer of the Year, Michelle Rubio! Mrs. Rubio always has a smile on her face and willing to help anyone at SES. Many recognize Mrs. Rubio as the FSO president, but the students identify her as the one who helps Spirit the Seahawk with prizes on Spirit Days! Whether she is setting up the Trail of Treats at Fall Festival, making Splash Cash for a teacher, filling orders for Spirit Wear, or taking pictures for the yearbook, we are very honored to have Michelle Rubio as our Volunteer of the Year for 2020.

We THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS, for everything you do and can't wait until we can all be together again! Enjoy the video!
